[Juan Carlos Escotet Rodríguez]: Circuito Gran Cine, Fabrica de Cine and Banesco
As part of the celebration of the 120 years of Venezuelan cinema, the social project developed by the Circuito Gran Cine aims to train inhabitants of the communities of the Baruta municipality in the knowledge and discussion on the subject of Human Rights. Today, Juan Carlos Escotet, leader of Banesco Banco Universal, brings you the details about the participation of the bank for better Corporate Social Responsibility politics inside the Venezuelan communities.
Banesco Banco Universal, which policy of CSR has as its bases the education, health and financial inclusion of Venezuelans, invited the public last week to the launch of Fábrica de Cine, social action program developed by the Circuito Gran Cine and The Mayor of Baruta. The activity was sponsored by Banesco as part of the projects approved in the Participatory Budget with the Community of the Municipality Baruta 2016.
In 2016, the Circuito Gran Cine presented the project “Baruta de película con Gran Cine” (“Film Baruta with Great Cinema”), within the framework of the program of Participatory Budget of Banesco. This time, the non-profit organization received the necessary votes from the community of Baruta for the project to be financed by the Banesco within the Participatory Budget project that it develops in the communities.
The Fabrica de Cine is aimed at community leaders, especially young people and women. For this first edition, six communities of the Baruta Municipality participate: Baruta Historic Center – La Palomera Sector, Bello Monte Hills, Curumo Cumbres, El Cafetal, Ojo de Agua, Santa Cruz del Este – Vertical Gym.
Since 1998, Banesco has implemented its Corporate Social Responsibility Program that promotes the education and health of more and more Venezuelans in the hands of its partners and social partners. Since 2008, its CSR reports have received the GRI A + rating, an international standard that includes best practices in the preparation of these reports.
