The award was presented this year for the first time, as part of the fifth anniversary of the Civil Association for the Attainable Caracas. The NGO members expressed that the aim of the award is to highlight the work of the various participants involved in the promotion of a model for a more humanly dignified, , fraternal, participatory and democratic city.
In the verdict of category Social Responsibility Experience, which Banesco was awarded, the jury said its decision was based “on the development of ‘Banesco Participatory Budget-Colinas de Bello Monte: The community decides’, which sponsored the implementation of various projects that are beneficial to the residents of the area, among them: artistic ornament, measures to control the use of public roads, teachers awareness for the inclusion of people with disabilities in classrooms, incorporating socio-productive youth, support for health programs, scholarship schemes, rehabilitation of education and implementation of measures of personal and community safety. “
Since 2008 to the present, Banesco has allocated Bs 1,100,000 to the activities implemented in the framework of the Community Participatory Budget of Monte Bello.
